Based in the Pittsburgh, PA region, Critical Power Solutions for Mitsubishi Electric US is a business unit of Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI). Mitsubishi Electric has been manufacturing precision engineered highly reliable Uninterruptible Power Supplies since 1964 and solving the challenges of American critical facilities since 1985. In 2021, the division expanded into new market verticals, launching IT Cooling products, services and complete solutions for the growing edge data center market. CPS's operations include Project and Application Engineering, Design Engineering, Service, Technical Support, Manufacturing and Warehousing, Quality, as well as Sales and Marketing.

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc. (MEPPI) is the U.S. subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation responsible for serving the North American power systems, rail transportation, and entertainment industries with electrical and electronic products, systems and services.
The CPS Division is one of ten divisions under the MEPPI umbrella and is comprised of an experienced team whose mission is to provide products and services to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations through superior quality and continuous improvement.

Manufacturing & Warehousing Facilities
MEPPI CPSD continually advances the design, manufacturing, and supply of fully integrated UPS solutions including switchgear and battery cabinets. With these operations, Mitsubishi Electric can better serve the rapidly growing needs of North American data centers and mission critical enterprise facilities.
CPSD maintains robust product inventory for rapid deployment, a fully-equipped training facility, and two test labs with 3 MW resistive and 375 kVA reactive load banks. The test labs are available for demonstrations, factory witness tests, and training courses.
ISO 9001:2015
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001 is the most widely recognized quality standard in the world. ISO 9001:2015 is the latest ISO 9001 revision issued by ISO that integrates risk-based thinking into the quality management system. Risk assessment requires the identification of possible risks to an organization and the actionable practices to mitigate each risk.
ISO Certifications are only valid for 3 years, making ISO certification a continual process. MEPPI CPSD was recently re-certified to ISO 9001:2015, providing evidence of our dedication and diligence to our corporate Quality Policy which states:
