The next generation of power semiconductor is here! In the SUMMIT Series® UPS, the Si (silicon) IGBT is replaced with advanced capability SiC (Silicon Carbide) semiconductors.
The IEEE states that silicon carbide is to the 21st century what silicon was to the 20th century. Mitsubishi Electric began development of SiC semiconductors during the early 1990s and now offers this proven technology in the SUMMIT Series® UPS.
Higher efficiencies are achieved across all load levels with SiC's lower switching losses, higher switching frequencies, and improved thermal conductivity range.
The SUMMIT Series® UPS is lithium ion, VRLA, VLA, and Pure Lead compatible for greater flexibility.

This model features the revolutionary use of silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors - a unique property that unleashes the power within and delivers the highest efficiencies yet (up to 98%) of any UPS on the market. This next generation technology has resulted in the creation of the smallest, lightest, and most efficient UPS modules ever developed, as demonstrated in Mitsubishi test labs and in independent test labs utilized by the ENERGY STAR program.

One of the unprecedented efficiencies of the SUMMIT Series®' next generation technology is reduced power loss. SiC possesses approximately 10 times the critical breakdown strength of Silicon (Si), enabling a large reduction in electrical resistance and, in turn, reduces power loss.

The SUMMIT Series® UPS creates more white space by minimizing the gray space it occupies. It can handle the same load in a significantly smaller footprint than competitive models, meaning more space can be allocated to revenue generation.
