Annual Data Center Cooling System Maintenance

At a minimum, your DX-P or MEWALL thermal wall system should be serviced annually. Mitsubishi Electric’s comprehensive annual data center cooling equipment maintenance plans include physical, refrigerant and electrical inspections, as well as adjustments and recommendations for action where necessary.​ 

  • Alarm & Safety Checks: Active and historical alarm review and voltage verification 
  • Thorough Cleaning: Remove any dust and/or debris on internal and external components, especially the evaporator and condenser coils per factory guidelines. 
  • Leak Detection: Scan for refrigerant leaks and verify any findings. 
  • Fan & Mechanical Inspections: Inspect condenser and evaporator fans for free rotation, tighten all electrical and mechanical connections to factory specifications, and verify wiring per diagrams. 
  • VFD, Compressor & Electrical Systems: Inspect VFD (Variable Frequency Drives), compressors, and electrical cabinets, contactors, fuses, and wiring  
  • Drain & Coil Maintenance: Inspect and vacuum drain lines and pans, prime P-traps, filters and coil fins  
  • Sensor Calibration: Calibrate and insulate temperature and pressure sensors 
  • Full Operational Test & Final Quality Check: Comprehensive system test under full load to ensure the system is operating per factory standards.

Quarterly Data Center Cooling System Maintenance

While annual service is essential, quarterly maintenance is recommended for optimal system performance. Quarterly DX-P and MEWALL preventative maintenance includes: 

  • Alarm & Safety Checks 
  • Thorough Cleaning & Inspection 
  • Fan & Compressor Service 
  • Electrical System Check 
  • Coil & Filter Maintenance 
  • Operational Testing & Final Quality Check 

With quarterly maintenance, you benefit from earlier detection of performance drift or wear, further protecting your data center cooling infrastructure.  

 

After both annual and quarterly maintenance visits, our Service team will quickly follow-up with comprehensive documentation of findings, required system repairs, and adjustments or remedial action plans when necessary.
